Egyptian Cartoon – Kai Kight

For this exchange, students from Stanford and the American University in Cairo posted and commented on each other’s analyses of political cartoons and advertisements.

In Egypt, I thought this cartoon would be funny because it has to do with America’s international relations with other countries. President Obama believes that every likes him but it is in fact just because American media are portraying it that way.

I thought this cartoon is funny for American Stanford Students because shows the mess that President Obama came into when he first came into office. It shows the stress that could come from possibly being in over his head. This cartoon has very personal references to Obama, such as the cigarettes and the Chicago Tribune.
